Desktop Version of Telegram
Telegram is one of the most popular instant messaging platforms around. With a reputation as being more secure than WhatsApp, it’s also packed with a host of other features that make it ideal for both personal and business use. Among the highlights are multi-platform support, voice and video calls, the ability to share files of up to 1 GB in size, and a vast selection of emoticons that let you convey your thoughts and feelings in style.
Unlike many other messaging apps, telegram download pc allows you to log in using your desktop without having to use your phone number. To do this, first open the Telegram app on your computer and tap the menu button (looks like three lines stacked on top of each other). Next, select “Scan QR Code” and follow the prompts to link the two apps. When logged in, all your messages will be automatically synchronized between your PC and mobile devices.
You can also choose to log in on Telegram with your email address instead of your phone number. To do this, open the app on your mobile device and tap the three dots in the upper-right corner of the screen. From there, select “Settings,” then “Privacy and Security” and then “Log in with email.” Then enter your email address and a password into the fields that appear.
How Do I Use the Desktop Version of Telegram for Group Chats?
Once you’ve logged in, you’ll see all your chats in a navigation panel on the left side of the screen. To access a specific chat, click on its name in the list. If you want to create a group chat, click on the new group button in the navigation panel and then enter a name for your new group. You can then add contacts and share a link to join the group via Twitter or Facebook.
If you have any folders, they will appear on the left side of the screen and show the icon you selected for them. You can long-press on a folder for a shortcut to edit it or to remove it entirely. You can also reorder your folders by clicking and dragging them.
You can use all of the features that you’re used to on Telegram for PC, including texting across all your platforms at the same time, creating groups with thousands of members, sharing videos and images, file and image sending, self-erasing messages, and end-to-end encryption for all communication except for group voice and video calls. There’s even a built-in note-taking feature that lets you create and send notes to yourself or other users. And with the option to use stickers, you can add a bit of personality to your conversations. For more advanced features, such as the ability to broadcast your screen or to send text from your desktop, you’ll need to upgrade to the Pro version of the app. This version is available free of charge, but comes with a few limitations.
