How to Reforge Fury Warrior
A guide to WoW’s next expansion, Cataclysm.
After 4.0.1 was released to the servers, fury warriors had some significant changes to their stats regarding their gear. Cataclysm needs 6 weeks until it’s here and fury warriors need to prepare for the next WoW expansion as best they can. Reforging will be a great asset for this goal.
With 4.0.1 completely removing armor penetration from the screen, the Furious Warriors team filled up in a hurry. Things should change quickly, as hit rating has now become the number one priority stat for Furious Warriors. Rage normalization, being connected to white hits, is very reminiscent of the days of vanilla and rogues, when they should limit the rate of hits, to minimize glancing hits.
Even though Cataclysm hasn’t arrived yet, it’s safe to assume that in this third WoW expansion, the warriors of fury will hit hard for the long haul! The reforge is going to be your friend and you can already start abusing it. Go to any trainer in one of the major capital cities and get rid of the rush rank as fast as you can. Wherever you can reforge the rush to rank up, do it without a second thought. The max hit rate cap is 750, so I doubt anyone has the equipment to even get close to that number (if possible). Just note that the stat priority order right now is: max cap hit rate = max cap experience (26) > strength > crit > haste > mastery.
If they find themselves (and their epix) strong enough stat-wise, they can step up. You can start to reform your trinkets even! It may come as a surprise to some, but it seems like you can reforge any item you want, so give it a shot to turn this extra crit into some other useful stat!
So, in 6 weeks from now, Cataclysm will be available and Blizzard’s third WoW expansion already promises to have a lot of new items, and reforging is just one of them! Until then, I wish you all fun!
