As individually created people, we have an immense privilege over angels. You may remember that the angel who appeared to Cornelius in Acts 10 was not allowed to mention the name of Jesus or talk to him about salvation, but we are. That’s because that holy and high privilege was and still is reserved for men and women, people like you and me. All the angel was allowed to say was: “Now send men to Joppa and send for Simon Peter (abbreviated from Acts 10: 5). This mighty angel from the depths of heaven had to bow down to Peter’s greatest privilege. as a man instead of an angel.
A great way to spread the gospel message is through the power of radio. The cost compared to alternative media is very inexpensive and the radio can be tailored to a specific scope, whether it be raising awareness of a cause or ministry, increasing the size of the congregation to fulfill the Lord’s call to spread the Gospel message. . And because radio is a passive medium rather than print or television, people can do other things while communicating with a radio message. This is a great advantage in our busy life today.
Time is of the essence, in fact the Bible speaks of it as “imminence.” And although the Gospel is eternal, we do not have eternity to preach it. Each of us has an individual “call to action” at this time to do our part to reach as many souls as possible and save them in eternal salvation. There are literally hundreds of ways to do this.
More recently, technology and the media have opened new doors like never before to flood the gates of heaven and within that hundreds of individual ways to make salvation known through Christ. An excellent way that has been tried and tested is broadcasting.
Also, the radio can be customized. Because there are so many smaller, unique stations and such a wide variety of formats, radio is truly one of the few communications platforms that can be tailored to an individual call. As an example, let’s say that a church, ministry or humanitarian cause wants to go beyond the “four walls” of its current reach, radio is a great way to do it with very little expenditure of resources. This is because radio content is easy to produce (many times existing sermons can be modified for radio) and it is relatively inexpensive.
It’s also to move your reach from, say, a Christian radio station format to Country, where the reach of actual converted Christian listeners may be less, those ripe for harvest may be plentiful, something God calls us in. the Book of Acts. to something else to consider.
There are several great resources for learning more about how you can use radio to increase awareness of your ministry and use radio for Gospel outreach, several of which can be found on the internet search “gospel radio today” for more. information.
