Power leveling in WoW isn’t really that hard if you understand the things that can slow down your ability to get to the level cap as quickly as possible.
Many new players don’t believe that you can get a completely new character to the level cap in just a few days of play time.
I’ve done this several times and it’s actually easier today with a level cap of 90 than it was in Vanilla WoW when the level cap was only 60. This is due to some new plugins that make quests a breeze. More on that later in the article, let’s focus on some of the best tips for power leveling in World of Warcraft.
- join a guild – This may seem obvious, but the experience boost you get from guild perks is critical to leveling up. Join a guild and use those experience benefits!
- bag space – Constantly having to stop and find a place to empty the bags is a huge waste of time. You should get the biggest bags you can afford and upgrade as often as you can.
- Stay out of the auction house – The bottom line is that you’re not really going to get a lot of upgrades that are going to have a big impact on leveling up as fast as you do at low levels. Stay in the field and keep polishing missions. You’ll get decent enough gear upgrades through quests.
- Mining or Herbalist – These 2 professions now offer experience to mine minerals or gather herbs. They’re a great way to add extra experience while you’re on quests and you can sell them for the gold you’ll need at higher levels.
- Accessories – There are people who will argue that you should only run Battlegrounds or Dungeons because it is the fastest way to level up. This is simply not true. Quests have been and always will be the fastest way to level up in the game and there are some awesome quest addons that can boost your hourly experience rate to max levels.
Aside from the tips listed above, dying is probably the biggest waste of time when it comes to leveling up a character quickly. Using a good plugin will ensure that you are always searching in areas appropriate to your level range, as well as ensuring that you move to a higher rank for a better experience at the right time.
